Monroe County Clerk Jeremy Meadows is excited to announce a significant turnout during the early voting period for the upcoming November 5th, 2024, General Election. A remarkable 3,236 residents participated in early voting, marking one of the highest early voter turnouts in recent Monroe County history.

The early voting breakdown reveals a diverse cross-section of Monroe County’s electorate. Of the 3,236 voters, 1,780 identified as Republicans, 716 as Democrats, 687 as No Party Affiliation, 9 as Libertarians, 3 as Mountain Party members, and 41 represented other affiliations. Additionally, the turnout spanned a range of demographics with 1,556 men and 1,680 women taking advantage of early voting

In addition to early voting, 236 absentee ballots were issued, ensuring those unable to attend in person still had the opportunity to make their voices heard.  This year’s turnout underscores the growing engagement and enthusiasm among Monroe County voters to participate in the democratic process.

“We are thrilled to see such a diverse and enthusiastic turnout during early voting,” said Monroe County Clerk Jeremy Meadows. “Our residents are clearly dedicated to making their voices heard and taking an active role in shaping our community’s future. We thank everyone who has voted early and encourage those voting on Election Day to make their plans now.”
